The initial pretreatment consultant, who's name was [name removed], made me feel at ease and took my worries into account. She explained in much detail as she could what the process wpukdnejtail, and told me how to remain calm. Thank you

I was very scared and nervous about the procedure but the staff were so comforting and managed to put me at ease. There's a bit taboo about abortions and I was made to feel comfortable about my decision and felt no shame in wanting to go through with it.

I had my medical abortion booked and prepared myself for this, only to be called the day before and told it would need to be a surgical abortion due to my medication. Emotionally, this was pretty traumatic.
The lady on the phone was very apologetic and proceeded to book my surgical abortion asap, on the same date as the assessment rather than have 2 appointments and prolonging the agony. However, I was told to arrive with a full bladder for the scan. This shouldn't have happened as I was due to have the procedure and therefore nil by mouth, which I wasn't told. This resulted in my surgical procedure being delayed and me being in the clinic a lot longer.
The staff are lovely but better pre appointment communication is needed
